Before anyone reads a word about your experience or accomplishments, a good headshot can communicate so much about who you are as a professional. What do you want that look to convey? Do you want it to say that you are confident and poised, or fun and carefree, maybe a combination of all of the above? A headshot can speak volumes about who you are as a person, so let me be the one who helps articulate what it says.
With technology constantly advancing, do you wonder why you should invest in a professional headshot when your phone can take an amazing image in portrait mode? Is it worth the investment? The answer is a wholehearted YES, absolutely!
So what’s the difference then?
In a studio setting, I use a non-distracting background so that the focus is on you. I have control over the light so that it’s flattering for you. And most importantly, I have the ability to direct a pose to ensure the best angle is captured. After the image is shot, I have the tools and skills necessary to edit the image to put your best face forward. The investment will be absolutely worth it.
Sign up now here to select your spot for a headshot session before they get filled up! Each session will be held at MRH Interiors, a studio in the Normal Heights neighborhood of San Diego. The session will last 15 minutes and you’re welcome to bring a jacket or a different shirt to change into, so you can change up the look you want captured to have multiple versions. There is a bathroom in the studio where you can change and adjust your look. 1-2 weeks after your session, you will receive 5-7 edited high resolution images in an online gallery, which is more than a typical headshot session. Each image will be delivered in two different crops – a landscape (horizontal) and a portrait (vertical) crop, in a traditional 8×10 size.
