Family vacations can be few and far between, but that’s part of what makes them so memorable. The day-to-day grind can be easily forgotten, but vacations are meant to be preserved. What better time to get photos captured of your family than when you’re on one of them. San Diego has so many gorgeous locations for a photo shoot and one will more than likely be on your list of places to visit. As a mom, when my family goes on vacation, I am the primary photographer taking photos of my family, but when my kids look back on our trips, I want them to see I was there too. Selfies are easy and fun to take, but sometimes it’s worth getting everyone in the frame and having a professional photographer tell your story and document those precious memories.
This beautiful family is from the mid-west and it was their first time in San Diego. I’m grateful I was able to capture their memories on the beach, especially since they don’t live by one or get to visit one often. We started the session about an hour before the sunset and so I took advantage of all the various natural light opportunities we had, both near the Hotel del Coronado and right on the beach near the water.
